Welcome To The Troop 72 Web Site!

Our event calendar is available online. Click on the Calendar link on the left of this page, or click on a date on the calendar in the right navigation pane to see what is going on today. Upcoming events are also listed on the right. Each event and month is printable directly from your browser, so you can always be up to date on Scouting events for Troop 72. Anyone in the troop community is invited to send us content. You can provide information for the troop web site by registering as a member to our site, and your submission will be approved for publication by our webmaster as soon as possible.

Because of an increasing number of spam and spider attempts to flood our website with junk news items, I have changed the Submit News link so you MUST be a registered member to submit news items. Make sure you sign up so that your news items can be considered for inclusion.

 Merit Badge Training day
Troop 72:
NEIC website has the list of the merit badges being offered at the Great Lakes Merit Badge Training Day on November 14th.  There are 3 Eagle Badges offered:  First Aid, Swimming, Personal Fitness.  Each class has different costs.  Registration is on line only and starts at 10 am on Monday, October 5th.  There needs to be at least 2 adult leaders.  We can determine the number of leaders/drivers are needed after we determine how many boys are signing up for the classes.  The list of leaders/drivers is not needed until November 10th.  First Aid is the prerequisite for Emergency Preparedness so I recommend for those scout and all first year scouts to consider 1st Aid.  There are 100 spots this year which is doubled from years past.
